Quoterite AI
👋 Hi! Need help exploring our platform? Ask me anything!
The deepest do-it-all platform in AU/NZ, with genuinely strong login security — dragged down by a slow, heavy app and no AI. Here's an honest, scored look versus Quoterite.
Quoterite9.0 /10
Accent Software (Insyte)5.2 /10Scored 0–10 across 15 dimensions from a hands-on review of both platforms, August 2026. Fair both ways — see the full scorecard.
Accent Software has been building window-furnishing software in Australia since 2003, and its Insyte platform has the deepest AU/NZ install base in this comparison set, with active marketing and a US expansion underway.
Credit where due: Accent has the best-engineered back end of any competitor — logins are genuinely well protected, with proper two-factor security, on patched Microsoft cloud hosting (Azure AD B2C, custom TOTP MFA, PKCE). The trade-offs are in the app your team actually uses: every page carries a heavy ~17MB double-load, because a new app runs alongside an old one built with a tool nobody maintains anymore (a legacy transpiled-C# bundle whose compiler is dead); the app's internal blueprints are left publicly downloadable (exposed source maps); and there's zero AI. Quoterite matches the depth with modern housekeeping and working AI.
Everything below is based on a hands-on review of Accent's live Insyte software plus public information as of August 2026. If you're from Accent and something is out of date, contact us and we'll correct it. Quoterite pricing matches our public pricing page.
The three dimensions with the biggest scoring difference between Quoterite and Accent Software (Insyte).
No AI — fixed if-this-then-that automation only.
Long setup, a 3-license minimum, and no free trial.
Heavy, slow page loads (~17MB of app code per load) and a long setup; covers everything, but there's a lot to learn.
Quoterite and Accent Software (Insyte) rated 0–10 on the 15 dimensions that matter most, from a hands-on review of both platforms as of August 2026.
The best-engineered competitor back end, dragged down by a slow, heavy legacy app and zero AI.
Is your data safe, will it keep up as you grow, and will the company be around?
Logins are genuinely modern and well protected, with proper two-factor security, on patched Microsoft hosting (Azure AD B2C, TOTP MFA, PKCE on Azure/IIS) — but the app's internal blueprints are left publicly downloadable (a 39MB source map), it's built with tooling its makers have retired (Create-React-App), part of it loads from a public outside service, and every page carries a heavy ~17MB double-load including an old section built with a tool nobody maintains anymore (a transpiled-C# bundle whose compiler is dead). Strong locks, careless housekeeping (observed Aug 2026).
Runs on Microsoft's managed cloud (Azure on IIS) — solid professional hosting, but not obviously built to grow automatically with demand.
Microsoft-managed storage keeps data safe day to day; no published specifics on restoring your data to a point in time after a disaster.
The app moved from build 26.2.0.3 (Jun) to 26.2.1.0 (Aug 2026) plus a 2025 US launch — being worked on, but slowly, with no public record of changes.
Since 2003, the biggest AU/NZ customer base in the set, active marketing and a US expansion underway.
What each platform is actually built on and where it runs — observed from public information and hands-on review as of August 2026.
| Quoterite | Accent Software (Insyte) | |
|---|---|---|
| Software stack | Hand-built in Kotlin on PostgreSQL — a modern, strongly-typed codebase written specifically for the window covering industry. No bought-in admin templates, no drag-and-drop app-builders, no end-of-life runtimes anywhere in the stack. | React (retired CRA) + legacy transpiled-C#; ~17MB loads |
| Hosting & servers | Amazon Web Services (AWS) — auto-scaling cloud infrastructure that grows capacity automatically with demand, with data continuously backed up and replicated across two separate geographic regions. No single rented server anywhere in the architecture. | Azure on IIS |
| Login & auth | Modern authentication, actively patched, with role-based permissions throughout — and nothing sensitive exposed under the same passive security profiling we run on every competitor. | Azure AD B2C, TOTP MFA, PKCE |
| Mobile | Purpose-built iOS, Android and web apps designed for in-home quoting — with Bluetooth laser-measure integration and voice notes, working the way salespeople actually work on the road. | Field app + Insyte Sketch tablet |
| Updates | Continuous delivery — improvements ship almost daily to every customer at once, with no versions to install and no per-customer copies to maintain. | Slow visible build bumps, no changelog |
Strong locks, careless housekeeping and zero AI — Quoterite matches the depth with modern engineering and working AI.

An honest answer: it depends on what you do all day. Here's how we'd call it.

No vendor-bashing here — Accent Software (Insyte) does real things well. Both lists below come from public information as of August 2026.
The best-engineered back end in the set: two-factor logins, patched Microsoft hosting.
The biggest AU/NZ customer base here, in market since 2003.
Genuinely deep coverage of the whole job, start to finish.
Insyte Sketch tablet tool and field app — strong for complex installs.
Active marketing and an ongoing US expansion.
Works with Xero, MYOB and Power BI.
The app's internal blueprints are left publicly downloadable (a 39MB source map).
Every page carries a heavy ~17MB double-load, including an abandoned-tool legacy section.
Built with retired tooling (Create-React-App); part loads from a public outside service.
No AI — fixed if-this-then-that automation only.
No get-paid-faster payment-links flow, despite internal accounting and BPAY fields.
A long setup, a 3-license minimum and no free trial.
No QuickBooks integration identified; no public integration documentation.
Built for window covering retailers who are flat out — so the software frees you up instead of adding another system to babysit.
An AI quote checker, AI price-list ingestion, Talk-to-Text voice quoting, AI meeting summaries and AI-drafted client emails — live in the product now, not a roadmap.
Retail quoting, a full manufacturing ERP, wholesale dealer portals and made-to-measure ecommerce — few vendors in this industry do even two of these.
A screen at every workstation, dependency-driven process flows, live scheduling, BOM and machine integrations — whiteboards and paper worksheets replaced with a live production system.
Quote on site from an iPad, tablet or phone — with laser-measure integration and voice notes so measurements and quotes are done before you leave the driveway.
Live across Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, the UK and South Africa — any language, any currency, any tax. Very few vendors in this industry can say that.
Send us your price lists and data — we build, configure and maintain it for you. Most businesses are live in 1–2 weeks, and billing only starts at go-live.
No lock-in. If Quoterite isn't earning its keep, you can leave.
Installer seats cost nothing — your fitters see jobs, measurements and schedules free.

3-license minimum, long setup, no free trial
Accent does not publish transparent per-seat pricing on its website as of August 2026, and has a 3-license minimum with a long setup and no free trial.
The fair comparison is on model: Quoterite is transparent and month-to-month — AU $950 setup then $250/month + $130 per user (US: $550 setup, $195/month + $110 per user), no seat minimum, installer seats free, billing starting at go-live.
