What software do blinds companies use to measure and quote? (2026)
Blinds companies measure in the home, then quote from supplier price lists. The tools they use to do it decide how fast the job gets paid. Here is what I see after 16 years in the industry.

The short answer: blinds companies use quoting software built for window coverings. It takes measurements from a Bluetooth laser measure, applies product rules and supplier price lists, and produces the quote on site. Smaller shops often start with spreadsheets or a generic CRM, and most outgrow them. The right tool depends on how many quotes you do.
How quoting happens in the home today
I have spent 16 years in window furnishings, and the flow is almost always the same.
You visit the home. You measure each window with a laser measure. You talk through fabric, color and control type. Then you go back to your truck or your office and work out the price.
The price comes from three things:
- Your measurements. Width and drop for every window, plus the mount type.
- Product rules. Each product has its own deductions, minimum and maximum sizes, and options that change the price.
- Supplier price lists. Every supplier sends a price grid, and it changes regularly.
Dedicated software ties those three together. A Bluetooth laser measure sends each size straight into the quote as you measure, so nothing gets written on a notepad and typed again later.
What goes wrong with spreadsheets and generic CRMs
A spreadsheet is a fine place to start. A generic CRM is good for keeping track of customers. Neither one understands a blind.
Here is what I hear from owners all the time:
- Double entering. Measurements go on paper, then into a spreadsheet, then into an order form, then into the invoice. Every step is a chance for a typo.
- Wrong deductions. Inside mount, outside mount, a product that needs a deduction on one side but not the other. If the rules live in someone's head, they get applied wrong.
- Quoting at night. The visit takes an hour. The quote takes the rest of the evening at the kitchen table. The customer waits, and the competitor who quoted on the spot wins.
- Stale price lists. A supplier changes prices, and the spreadsheet still has the old numbers.
- No source of truth. The quote is in one place, the customer in another, the order in a third.
A generic CRM can track a lead and send a reminder. It cannot tell you that the size you just typed is outside the range for that product.
What to look for
Whatever you pick, check these things.
- Laser measure support. Sizes should come in over Bluetooth, not by hand.
- Product rules built in. Deductions, size limits and option pricing should be applied for you.
- Your supplier price lists. You should be able to load them without weeks of data entry.
- Works on site. Phone, tablet or laptop, wherever you are standing.
- Payments. A payment link on the quote, so the deposit can be paid before you leave.
- Accounting. A link to your accounting package so invoices do not get keyed twice.
- Someone to set it up. Software that needs you to build everything yourself is software that sits unused.
How Quoterite does it
Here is what we built, and why.
Measure and quote on site. You pair a Bluetooth laser measure, and the sizes drop straight into the quote. You can finish the quote before you leave the driveway.
AI quote checker. Before a quote goes out, it checks for the kind of mistakes people make when they are busy. A missing option, a size that does not fit the product, a deduction that looks wrong. In demos, this is the feature people react to most.
AI price-list ingestion. Send us a supplier price list, in whatever format it comes, and the AI reads it into the system. When a supplier updates, you do not retype a grid.
Payment links. Send the customer a link, and the deposit comes in through Stripe.
Xero and QuickBooks. Invoices flow through to your accounting, so nobody enters them twice.
We set it up for you. You send us your price lists and product details. We build it. Retail businesses are typically live in two to three weeks from when we get your price lists.
For more detail, see our pages on blind quoting software and window treatment software.
On price in the US, setup is $550 one time, then $195 a month for one user and $110 a month for each extra user. It is month to month, so there is no contract to be stuck in.

When you do not need it yet
I want to be honest about this one.
If you are a one-person operator doing a handful of quotes a week, a good spreadsheet and a laser measure will probably do the job for now. The cost of dedicated software is real, and the pain may not be there yet.
You will know when it is time. It is when you catch yourself quoting at night, retyping the same numbers, or losing track of which quote went to which customer. That is when the hours you lose cost more than the software.
